What the Cape Town stadium looks like from my home on February 1 2010

Back to blogging a little later then expected,
since I came back with the flu and am still not recovered
and not strong enough to go outside yet

Hamiltons Rugby club has started to prepare for the 2010 CT Tens.

I took this on Jan 18 the night before I left for Egypt
all 360 spotlights of the "Ring of fire" were blazing away,
A rarity nowadays, since  most nights the stadium is quite dark

There is a hole in my new Cape Town Stadium Dear Lisa !

So I checked the photos I took when they had ripped the facade

and they are replacing this one which was ripped (Sept 21 2009)
they patched it up but are obviously not happy with it

A peek inside the grass looks nice and green

If you are still looking to buy tickets for a match in this stadium
Try this:  website

I was in Camps Bay today and the beaches are still packed

Its been very hot lately
The sprinklers seem to be going the whole day

Just showing you what I got ...today..

The Diamond of Cape Town reflected in the Metropolitan golf course water feature

The 2010 FIFA Soccer Stadium Cape Town and Table Mountain during the blue hour As usual I could have stayed forever, just shooting.....but instead was there  for just over an hour

Unfortunately the sprinklers were going full speed and popping up in the most unexpected places
I would have liked to walk around the stadium but alas I was already getting damp from the spray where I was standing
