Green Point Urban Park in Cape Town

SSV Victoria
Its always interesting to watch the traffic passing Robben island
and when I saw the Seven Seas Voyager passing I drove to the Waterfront to capture her docking
since I had to do my weekly shopping anyway

Here she comes and its a tight fit
there were loads of people watching
even though we get plenty of cruise ships this is a big one

Seven Seas Voyager is a cruise ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.  Every cabin on board is a suite with a balcony. In 2006, a Forbes.com article listed the Asia leg of the Voyager's world cruise as the most expensive cruise in the Asia region

Amazing Facade progress on Southside of World Cup 2010 Cape Town Stadium in Green Point

Sorry for the boring images recently guys but haven't been well this last week
so this was my first outing again
I was amazed at the progress especially since a freighter sunk with a container of facade material on board
(they retrieved it but its delayed a little
I didn't expect them to be this far already !

but stood just in the one spot till dusk

Allot of activity going on I would have loved to zoom in but couldn't use my telezoom because of the
strong gusts of wind rocking my tripod

I could hardly tear myself away from it
It looked so gorgeous

Images of the mysterious disappearance of the facade bars of the 2010 WC Cape Town Stadium

Where oh where and why are the bars gone ?

FOOTNOTE:
Today NOV 17 I saw a trailer with huge concrete slabs in front of that opening
I assumed they were using those to build something inside the stadium

Here is the evidence they were there !
Who stole the horizontal bars of the facade structure ?
Oh and
Remember !
 You saw it here first

And the lights were on again tonight
and
like a butterfly I am drawn to capture it....

Like a painting ..The new WC 2010 Cape Town Stadium at sunset

Minutes after sunset

North side

Still allot to do on this side

They have to paint the facade frame by hand
I hope they dont need to do that every year !
