A drive to Kalk Bay then via Chapmans Peak back to Green Point

Was sight seeing today with friends who are visiting South Africa
A fantastic view toward Kalk Bay
Boyes Drive (from where this pic is taken) offers some of the best scenery in Cape Town.

Kalk Bay
is a fishing village on the coast of False Bay it is a suburb of greater Cape Town.

Kalk Bay has a buzzing fish market on the harbour
where you can watch the fishermen in traditional wooden boats bringing in their catch
like kingklip, john dory, bream, and dorado

 View of Hout Bay from
Chapmans Peak Drive, named after John Chapman who came to Cape Town in 1607. He was the mate on a British ship that was sent to Hout Bay to investigate the possibility of building a harbour there.
It's a really spectacular drive along a very narrow road with stunning views out onto the Atlantic ocean.
This road links Noordhoek to Hout Bay and Cape Town.
It was in the Foodbarn in Noordhoek where we had a great lunch
and even though it was Teusday the place was packed
but I had booked a week ago so that was ok
