This is was what the weather did in Cape Town today

It kicked up massive waves in the Atlantic Ocean, so I first headed to Camps Bay
He got soaked a little later, by a massive wave which caught me unaware too. Frankly he was foolish to stand there, if he had been swept away he would have been gone forever !

I then followed the coastal road back to SeaPoint.

Alongside the southernmost urban centre in Africa, separating city from ocean, lies an unusual strip of land. The Sea Point Promenade - and the public swimming pools at its centre - forms a space unlike any other in Cape Town. Right here, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the business area, life is paraded, most unapologetically in all its forms… Over-made-up power-walkers, speed past homeless persons, kissing above the rocks and rent boys waiting for the next pick-up. Trendy teenagers eat ice creams, as elderly ladies parade dejected pet dogs on elastic leashes. Black, brown, white, young, old, locals, tourists, rich, poor, Jews, Muslims, Christians, stylish, tasteless – they are all here, arriving from apparently nowhere to join the ritual of walking a man-made path along the sea…

The Urban Park of the Green Point Common is still a mess

The West side of the Green Point Common is where the new Urban Park is going to be, but right now its just one mud bath Imagine trying to navigate there after dark like I did last night !
This part of the Common looks the most unfinished the East side where the Golf course is looks already fabulous and green Its such an improvement from the brown look of the old Green Point Common !

I know that butyl liners have a limited lifeline so I was surprised to see they aren't using cement but I must admit this one is very THICK as you can see here
The water is still from the heavy rains we had it a week ago, it must be so difficult to work under those circumstances

Emily's restaurant in Plettenberg Bay

I had read about Emily's restaurant The setting is gorgeous with an amazing view of the river and the wetland valley and you can take Emily Moons canoes out along the Bitou river to enjoy the peace and quiet and see the many beautiful birds but unfortunately my Thai salad was a disappointment

The restaurants I tried in Plett and can highly recommend is Sand in the Plettenberg Hotel for a special dinner, it was superb from beginning to end and that includes the staff and the Bramon Wine Estate for lunch I very much enjoyed their mezze platter

I can say I was frozen to the bone after I was finnished ..I had to hide from the wind behind a bush it was so strong my tripod was rocking like a ship on high seas

Zooming in like I did here... the slightest movement would have blurred the photo
